Gov. Mark Sanford extends special recognition to Grand Ideas

Governor's Office of Small & Minority Business Assistance

Grand Ideas received a five year certification as a woman-owned business from SC Gov. Mark Sanford's Office of Small & Minority Business Assistance. Grand Ideas is quite proud of this distinction as a small business. Maura Donahue, chair of the US Chamber of Commerce Small Business Advisory Council said in 2004 that small business owners "are the engine that drives the US economy."

Grandee Ann Ray, President of Grand Ideas, and its staff were interviewed following the completion of the required list of questions outlining decision-making processes, reporting relationships, and scope of authority of each staff member.

Ms. Margaret Woodsen conducted the interview on October 5, 2005. Her parting comments were, "Grand Ideas has no real competition when it comes to energy level, attention to detail, and the propensity for risk-taking."
