Our History

We, at Grand Ideas, liken not only our early days, but many days around project deadlines, to Episode #39 of "I Love Lucy". The Chocolate Factory episode was the second of the second season filmed in 1952 and although it is more than 50 years old, it embodies our "personality" at Grand Ideas. Like Lucy and Ethel, we seek creative solutions to operational challenges. No job is too big and we can handle any conveyor belt speed.

Grand Ideas is a female entrepreneurial success story. After a rewarding career in critical care nursing and hospital administration, Grandee Ray pursued her passion for change, autonomy, and creativity. Helping find "just the right idea" to promote one's business or organization offered a challenging and fun change of career as well as contact with people and the opportunity to forge strategic relationships. From a team of one to a group of dynamic, multi-talented women, Grand Ideas has become one of the top-drawer promotional products and corporate gifting businesses in the Southeast.

While there are many ways we stand out from other companies in our industry, the one that is most compelling is our high-energy collaborative approach to every project. Our team of women work together to generate unique, creative, and innovative ideas that effectively target our customer's market/audience with a memorable and lasting impression. Grand Ideas pinpoints specific promotional and marketing objectives so we can deliver effective promotional solutions. We take you from brand AWARENESS to brand PREFERENCE. We believe in valuable face-time with our customers; it helps us to understand your business before recommending ideas that offer the "AHA!" or "WOW!" factor. No other company offers such an innovative, specialized approach.

Grand Ideas' business principles are simple: "We do what we say we will do; we do it on time; and we do WIT – Whatever It Takes – to make that happen."
